🍰 Sweet Temptations at Kitakaro Otaru Main Shop

We stopped by Kitakaro’s main shop in Otaru after hearing so much about their pastries—and wow, it absolutely lived up to the hype! The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the delicious aroma of freshly baked goods and an impressive display of sweets that made it hard to choose just one.

I ended up buying their signature cream puff and a few other pastries to try. The cream puff was amazing—light, flaky choux pastry filled with silky smooth custard cream that wasn’t overly sweet. It had that perfect balance that made me wish I had bought more. My family couldn’t stop raving about their baumkuchen and butter cookies too.

The shop itself was beautiful—elegant yet warm, with a touch of old-world charm. Everything was neatly displayed and packaged, perfect for souvenirs. We even sat down for a short break to enjoy the pastries before heading out to explore more of Otaru.

Honestly, this place is a must-visit if you’re in Otaru and love Japanese sweets. You can tell the quality of ingredients is top-notch, and the staff were friendly and helpful too.
