Otaru Music Box Hall

The main building of Otaru Music Box Hall is a must-visit store when shopping at the Otaru Canal in Hokkaido. It is the largest music box specialty store in Japan. The main building has about 3,400 types and more than 25,000 music box products. And the space is super large. There are many exquisite small items, which really made me feel the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship.
The Otaru Music Box Hall is a distance away from the Otaru Canal. It takes about 20 minutes to walk 1.6 kilometers. It is very leisurely to take a walk in spring and summer. There are also Sakaimachi Shopping Street along the way to go shopping. Or it is better to get off at JR Otaru South Station.
At the door is the world's first steam clock made by Canadian clock master Raymond Saunders. Entering the museum, I found that this old wooden warehouse is quite spacious, filled with a wide variety of music box products. There are three floors. The first floor is mostly music box products, the second floor has a Totoro corridor and other handicrafts, and the third floor can customize music boxes. Very exciting!
