Western Art Museum next to the Otaru Canal Warehouse

The Western Art Museum of Otaru Art Village is located next to the famous Otaru Canal Warehouse. The museum houses design works in the so-called Art Nouveau style, which was created when Otaru became an international trading port in the late 19th century. In the museum, you can appreciate the works of contemporary artists such as Emile Galle', Daum Brothers, Rene' Lalique, Gabriel Argy-Rousseau, and Amalric Walte.
The first floor sells local glass crafts and some souvenir foods. Travelers who have plans to visit the Otaru Canal can pay to visit it.
