Ishiyama-dera Temple, a famous spot for autumn leaves in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture
Ishiyama-dera Temple is a flower temple associated with Murasaki Shikibu.
Currently very popular due to the NHK historical drama "To You Who Shines!"
The temple grounds have many sights to see, from the main hall to the pagoda, Tsukimitei Pavilion, the Light Hall, and the statue of Murasaki Shikibu. In addition, every spring and autumn, a Murasaki Shikibu exhibition is held in the Hojoden Hall in honor of the legends in the Tale of Genji.
