๐Ÿ“ Ukimido, famous for "Katata no Rakugan" from the Eight Views of Omi,
is known as Kaimonzan Mangetsuji Temple.
It is said that it was built by Eshin Sozu in the Heian period to pray for safety on the lake and salvation of all living beings.
The current building was rebuilt in 1937,
and repaired again in 1982,
still retaining its original atmosphere.
The Kannon Hall on the temple grounds houses a seated statue of the Holy Kannon Bodhisattva, an important cultural property.
