Left Biwako Valley Observatory with regret

Biwako, the largest lake in Japan, is accessible via Japan's fastest cable car to the Biwako Valley Observatory. Originally, it offers endless views of the lake and mountains, and the observatory also features recreational facilities, making it a great destination.

Unfortunately, on the day we visited, it was cloudy with light rain. The mountaintop was shrouded in mist, and we couldn't see anything, which was quite disappointing 🥲...

It's recommended to check the weather, current views, and open facilities on the official website before heading out to decide whether it's worth visiting.

The observatory has several restaurants with different styles. If paired with good weather and stunning views, it would undoubtedly be one of life's great pleasures 🤔.
