Hiyoshi Taisha is a shrine located in Sakamoto, Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. It is the head shrine of the 3,800 or so Hiyoshi, Hie, and Sanno shrines across the country. It is famous as a famous spot for maple leaves, and the fresh green leaves of the "green maples" and the autumn leaves in mid-November beautifully decorate the grounds.
