If you're looking for a relaxing escape from Bangkok and want a lush, natural setting, U Khao Yai is one of our favorite options.

We stayed at the Superior Lake View (approximately 37-39 sq m). Opening the balcony door, you'll be greeted by a small lake and a lush garden with a slightly French atmosphere. The morning light is perfect, and the evening sun is breathtaking.

One day, we checked in late and weren't in a rush. We sipped coffee in the lobby, read a book, and then spent the afternoon in the outdoor pool. The kids played in the kiddie pool. The afternoon barbecue had a light menu to choose from. Dinner at Papillon was also excellent. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was a bit romantic, and the lamps were beautiful.

However, there's one thing I can't resist: breakfast can get crowded, with some repetitive dishes or they sell out quickly if you arrive late. Also, some rooms with garden views or standard rooms, if you expect a spectacular view, might not be the best option. You should choose a Lake View or Pool View room if you want a truly spectacular photo opportunity.
