Four Thousand Islands is a famous tourist attraction in Laos. Every day, thousands of tourists come here for sightseeing and vacation. This time I will introduce a travel guide to the Four Thousand Beautiful Islands.
Si Phan Don is located in Pakse, Champasak Province, the southernmost part of Laos. It is located at the junction of Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, and the widest part of the Mekong River.
Transportation: Take a bus or plane to Pakse, Laos, and then take a bus or ship from Pakse to the island
The so-called four thousand islands are actually mainly three: Dongde, Dongkong and Dongkuo Islands. The island with the most tourists for food and accommodation is Don Det Island. Bicycles are the best choice for transportation on the island. It costs 25-30k/day. You can ride slowly around the island and enjoy the fun of exploring while riding.
There are not many attractions on the island, the most famous ones are Li phi Waterfall 30k ticket and Khone Pa Soy Waterfall 20k. We just explored the wild spots outside and had a great time. Khon tai Beach is highly recommended. Be sure to explore the rocks on the right side of the beach. There will be surprises when you climb over the rocks. In fact, you don’t have to check in at every tourist attraction. It will be more pleasantly surprised if you can ride around slowly on a bike and stop at the ones you like. Every day's sunset is super beautiful. Whether you are in the rice fields or in a tavern along the river, ordering a glass of wine and watching it, it is extremely pleasant and beautiful.
