A Hidden Gem for Guizhou Locals! This Mountain Hot Spring Homestay in Liupanshui Offers an Unbeatable View of the Sea of Clouds

Finding a secluded homestay in Liupanshui where you can soak in hot springs and watch the sea of clouds is surprisingly easy! Just a 1.5-hour drive from the city center, you'll reach "Zhensu Shanyin," tucked away in the Wumeng Mountains. The moment you step into the courtyard, you feel instantly healed~

Let's start with the environment! Surrounded by lush green mountains and forests on all sides, in the morning you can open the window to see mist drifting over the treetops, like living in a fairyland. The common area features a huge viewing deck where you can sit in a rattan chair in the afternoon, bask in the sun, enjoy the mountain breeze, and gaze at the distant mountain scenery. Every photo you snap with your phone looks like wallpaper—no filters needed!

The highlight is the hot springs! All fed by natural mountain spring water, the soaking pools are scattered among the trees in the courtyard, offering excellent privacy. Soaking in the warm hot springs at night under a sky full of stars melts away all daytime fatigue~ Each pool has a small table nearby for a cup of hot tea or fruit, making it super comfortable to soak and chat. It’s definitely even better in winter!

The guest rooms are a pleasant surprise too! No flashy decorations, just natural wood style, with bedding soft and cozy like home. Some rooms come with private hot springs, so if you don’t want to use the public pools, you can enjoy the hot spring in your room while looking out at the forest. Waking up to birdsong in the morning is 100 times better than an alarm clock!

No worries about food either! The homestay has its own kitchen, using ingredients delivered by local farmers. Dishes like cured meat stir-fried with bracken, sour soup fish, and clear stewed native chicken are authentic Guizhou flavors with generous portions. Breakfast features corn porridge and handmade steamed buns served with small pickles—delicious and warming to the stomach~

There’s plenty to do nearby! A 10-minute drive takes you to Yushe National Forest Park, where you can see maple leaves in autumn and escape the heat in summer; 20 minutes to Minghu Wetland Park, where walking on the boardwalk and enjoying the lake view is super relaxing. If you prefer off-the-beaten-path routes, the homestay owner can recommend nearby villages to experience the local slow life.

In summary! If you want to escape the city and relax for a few days, this place is definitely a great choice—high cost performance and no disappointments. Next time, I’m bringing my parents here again~
