One-Day Paris Trip Highlights

Start your itinerary at Palais Royal, where you can take impressive photos on the iconic pillars. It's better to visit in the afternoon as the morning light can make photography challenging.

Next, head to Montmartre Hill. After getting off the bus, you'll find a square filled with artists drawing caricatures. The cost can be quite high, so feel free to skip this and proceed to the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. If you arrive early, you can explore the interior, which is worth a visit. The view of Paris from beside the basilica's columns is stunning and makes for great photos.

Then, move on to the Rodin Museum. After purchasing tickets, you'll be greeted by the famous "The Gates of Hell." While a similar piece is displayed at the Musée d'Orsay, the one here is the original, attracting many visitors. You'll also find "The Thinker" statue, which has authentic versions scattered worldwide. The one in Rodin's garden is also an original crafted by Rodin himself. Surprisingly, there are Monet paintings in Rodin's house, which was a delightful discovery for Monet fans.

After leaving Rodin's house, visit the nearby Les Invalides. Since it's very close, it's recommended to combine these two spots. However, if you don't have a Museum Pass, it might not be worth the entrance fee unless you're deeply interested in history or admire Napoleon. Fun fact: the archery events for the Paris Olympics were held at Les Invalides.
