⛪ Sacré-Cœur Basilica (Basilique du Sacré-Cœur)
💫 "Sacré-Cœur, a silent guardian overlooking Paris from the hilltop."
Located on Montmartre Hill in northern Paris, this spot offers a panoramic view of the city, making it an excellent place to enjoy the scenery. It's also a great spot to visit at night for a stunning view of the city lights.
Next to Sacré-Cœur is "Place du Tertre," also known as "Little Hill Square" or "Artists' Village." In the 1940s, this square was a hub for famous painters. Today, it remains a vibrant place where many artists create and display their works, making it a perfect spot to immerse yourself in Parisian art and culture.
♟️ How to get to Sacré-Cœur:
(1) Take the Montmartre Funicular (free with a Navigo weekly pass)
Boarding point: Funiculaire Gare Basse, next to the carousel
Alighting point: Funiculaire de Montmartre – Gare Haute, right next to Sacré-Cœur
(2) Walk up for €0
A short uphill walk along the stairs will lead you to the basilica.
🚎 Nearest Metro Station: Abbesses
🤫 This location was also featured in "Emily in Paris - Season 4." It served as the backdrop for Emily's morning jog and the romantic sunrise scene she shared with Marcello, the young heir of a Roman wool company. 💞
