Summer 2019, Paris. The Eiffel Tower and Montmartre streets, McDonald's, Louis Vuitton, the Arc De Triomphe...etc.
I walked quite far to the Eiffel Tower, so I was happy to get a photo from a pretty good angle.
I went during the day, so I thought the gray color was a bit drab, but it really is huge.
The streets of Montmartre, lined with huge stone buildings, gave me a somewhat drab impression.
However, the bright red sunshade tents on the terraces of the first-floor cafes in each building were eye-catching.
For lunch, I had a McDonald's Burger, and the interior was incredibly vibrant and stylishly designed. I've never seen anything like it at a McDonald's in another country.
Is it because I'm in Paris? Or is McDonald's really stylish?
I thought the inside of the Louis Vuitton store was normal, but then I noticed that the walls of the stairs to the second floor were covered in pictures of bags and purses, which was just as stylish as I expected.
I was a little surprised that they engrave your initials on the spot on your purchases, and while you wait, you're given a glass of champagne.
I had told them I didn't need initials, so I was a little disappointed that they didn't offer any champagne.
After seeing the Arc de Triomphe, I spotted a police car on my way back and took a picture.
They have black and white bodies, and while police cars are called "pandas" in other countries, French police cars have a small, round, and cute shape. I've seen them in movies and always thought they were cute, so I was lucky to get to see one in person.
COVID-19 restrictions will soon be relaxed, allowing me to travel abroad again, so I'd like to go again next winter or next year.
