Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery) – “Bhutan’s Cliffside Sanctuary”

#holidayitinerary

📌 Location: Paro Valley, Bhutan

Hiking to Tiger’s Nest Monastery is a spiritual and physical journey. Built into a cliff face 900 meters above the Paro Valley, it looks like it's hovering in the clouds. The hike takes around 2–3 hours, passing pine forests and fluttering prayer flags. When you first glimpse the monastery across a chasm, it’s breathtaking. The interior is serene, filled with the scent of incense and the quiet murmur of monks. No cameras allowed inside, which makes you more present. The combination of nature, devotion, and architecture creates a once-in-a-lifetime atmosphere. Bhutan’s jewel, hands down.
