Sanctuary of Truth, Pattaya, Chonburi

The world's largest wooden castle, one of the most unseen tourist attractions in Pattaya

.
The Sanctuary of Truth is worth more than just the beauty you see. If you look at the entrance fee, it is the same price for Thais and foreigners at 500 baht. However, if you have the chance, I would like you to come and see it at least once because this place does not only have beautiful pictures or exquisite wood carvings. Every piece of carving contains philosophical content, reflecting the importance of religion as a support for the world. It emphasizes the main principles of "the 7 origins and the 4 virtues of conduct that are easy to understand, using art as a medium to make every life aware of virtue, ethics, and experience the knowledge that the creator (Mr. Lek Wiriyaphan) has conveyed the meaning of the truth in the form of various deities from every religion in every region of Asia.

The carvings at the Sanctuary of Truth are made entirely of wood, using the Thai-style mortise-and-tenon system or inserting wooden bolts according to ancient wisdom. The castle is a quadrangular shape, 100 meters high and 100 meters wide, carved with intricate patterns both inside and outside. The carvers must be skilled and meticulous in almost every detail. It took more than 40 years to build the Sanctuary of Truth, a cultural heritage that is extremely valuable.

The Sanctuary of Truth is considered to be the largest wooden castle in the world.

Located at Laem Ratchawet, Na Kluea Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province
