Like any Buddhist temple, Wat Chai Mongkon is filled with a special atmosphere, space and tranquility. And considering the accessibility of the temple, it should definitely be at the top of the must-see list for those visitors to Pattaya who are interested in temples.
It appeared in 1937. A wandering monk arrived at the site of this amazing, richly decorated temple and pitched a tent. The locals responded to the monk's presence by intensively building houses and other structures in the area, and eventually the temple was built. It was originally called Wat Thap Phraya. The current temple was built in 1954 by royal decree.
There is a wonderful Buddha Chai Mongkon in this. The image was accidentally discovered 350 years ago in Ayutthaya and dates back to the Ayutthaya period. The Buddha is in the pose of taming Mara, and according to legend, you can ask Buddha Chai Mongkon to stop a streak of misfortunes and misfortunes, just as he once tamed the ocean.
