Thoughtful and creative noodles combination t Fifty Tales

#celebrateit

I ducked into Fifty Tales in Sea Park, Petaling Jaya, last Saturday, chasing their handmade noodle hype.

The Emarald Dragon Noodles featured a spring onion pesto which is a creative deviation from the norm. I appreciated it but would like a lil more intensity so the green aroma could pop out more. Noodles are well made with one of the chewiest texture I’ve got from my noodles of that thickness.

Now every ingredients taste good on their own: braised pork, chewy noodles, nice pesto, but altogether it didn’t feel like 1+1+1>3.

But overall, I really like the creativity in almost all of the items on the menu. That shows quite a lot of thoughts into their food. But I’d like a lil more refinement on how the creativity eventually translates to the palate.

The open kitchen’s buzz and bonsai accents gave it a sleek, homey edge.
