Cultural Charm and Festive Splendor in the Heart of Malaysia

I dropped by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Paradigm Mall for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up — and ended up having a seriously indulgent moment with their Vanilla Cookies & Cream Ice Blended and a slice of Pistachio Kunafa Cake.
🥤 Vanilla Cookies & Cream Ice Blended
Cold, creamy, and dangerously easy to sip. The vanilla base was smooth, not overly sweet, and blended perfectly with crushed cookie bits that added texture without getting soggy. It’s like a milkshake grew up and went to coffee school. Definitely a win if you’re craving something rich but refreshing.
🍰 Pistachio Kunafa
This was the real surprise. Imagine a traditional Middle Eastern kunafa — flaky and buttery — now fused with a soft pistachio sponge cake and a nutty cream layer. The top had that signature golden crisp, and the crushed pistachios gave it an earthy edge. It’s not your average café dessert — a little decadent, a little fancy, and a lot satisfying.
🪑 Vibe & Service
Quiet enough for a proper coffee break, with soft music and comfy chairs. Staff were friendly, and my order came out within 5 minutes. It’s a nice escape from the bustle of the mall, especially if you need a recharge — mentally or caffeinated.

⭐ Final Verdict: 9/10
What I loved: The cookie-cream combo was nostalgic, the pistachio kunafa was a classy twist, and the atmosphere made it easy to linger.
What could improve: Slightly smaller portion for the cake would make it less rich — but that’s just me trying to justify ordering a second drink.
Would I go back? Already planning it. Might try the Matcha Strawberry next time, but honestly, that kunafa’s going to haunt my sweet tooth.
