Phimai Historical Park, Nakhon Ratchasima

Phimai Historical Park, located in Nakhon Ratchasima, is an ancient Khmer-style stone temple from the early Baphuon period, built in the 16th Buddhist century.

The Phimai stone temple was constructed based on beliefs about heaven and the human world. Its layout resembles Mount Meru, with the main sanctuary at the center of the temple complex, symbolizing a connection between the earthly and heavenly realms. Phimai stone temple is the largest stone temple in Thailand and one of the most significant tourist attractions in Phimai District and Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

The park is approximately 62 kilometers from Nakhon Ratchasima city center, accessible via Highway AH12 (Mittraphap Road). It is located within Phimai town. Parking spaces are limited, but the surrounding area offers numerous local Korat-style restaurants and is not far from the market.
