Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan, Phitsanulok Province

Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan (or “Wat Yai”) is a first-class royal temple of the Woramahawihan type, located on the eastern bank of the Nan River, Phuttha Bucha Road, Tambon Nai Mueang, Amphoe Mueang, Phitsanulok Province.

🏗️ Outstanding architecture
✅ The large chapel (royal chapel) has mother-of-pearl-inlaid doors, built during the reign of King Borommakot (2299 B.E.)
✅ The prang is a mix of Khmer and Ayutthaya styles, with stairs leading up to the Buddha's relics.
✅ The surrounding gallery houses many Buddha images.
✅ The mural paintings of the chronicles and Jataka tales from the Rattanakosin period, the reigns of King Borommakot and King Rama V.

🙏 Phra Phuttha Chinnarat (Phra Phuttha Chinnarat) is a Buddha image in the Mara-Vijaya attitude, built during the Sukhothai period. It is said to be the most beautiful in Thailand.
