The most well-known temple in Phitsanulok is Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat Woramahawihan, or Wat Yai as it's affectionately known to the locals. This temple boasts hundreds of years of history, having once served as a major city in Ayutthaya.
The Phra Buddha Chinnarat is a must-see when visiting Phitsanulok. It's incredibly beautiful, sacred, and revered, and is always packed with worshippers. Standing and taking photos is prohibited here, as it can disturb others.
Within the temple grounds, you can walk around, with many areas to admire and pay respects.
