Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, formerly known as "Wat Pa Kaew" or "Wat Chao Thai", is located in the southeast of Ko Phra Nakhon.
It is currently an area of Khlong Suan Phlu Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
The highlight of the temple is the large pagoda, which is believed to have been renovated during the reign of King Naresuan the Great. Inside, the Chai Mongkol mantra was discovered. Inside the ordination hall is the enshrined Phra Phuttha Chai Mongkol, the principal Buddha image of the temple.
In addition, inside the temple is the enshrined shrine of King Naresuan the Great, which was completed in 2544.
