Ayutthaya, Thailand
Once the capital of the Ayutthaya Kingdom, it is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rich in historical ruins and ancient temples.
We, a group of five adults and one child, booked a private car for a day tour. Starting from our hotel at 10 AM:
"Stop 1": Baan Wao Market
The market is very clean and not too big, but we had a great time exploring. We bought lots of local snacks, enjoyed delicious Thai milk tea, and loved the sweet crispy pancakes 😋. We even bought a cantaloupe to take back to the hotel 🤣🤣.
"Stop 2": Floating Market
The entrance fee is 200 THB, which includes a free boat ride.
"Stop 3": Ayutthaya Prawn Market
Fresh, live Thai prawns cooked on-site were incredibly tasty and very affordable!
After filling our stomachs, we headed to Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon and Wat Mahathat to admire the centuries-old ruins, which are perfect for photography.
Ayutthaya is not far from Bangkok city, highly recommended for a visit 👍🏻👍🏻.
