Tie-dye workshop at Ban Matjai, Phrae

Phrae has many tie-dye workshops. The north is famous for its indigo-dyed shirts, and the blue indigo dye is used to create tie-dyed shirts.
We chose to take the kids to tie-dye at Baan Mat Jai, which also doubles as a cafe. They also offer ceramic painting. Each tie-dye piece costs 150 baht. They'll teach you how to create different patterns. Then, they'll take the kids to dye their shirts by dipping them in a jar filled with indigo dye.
