A well known beach holiday

#beachlife

Phuket is very old in terms of tourist spots in thailand. That means as a tourist seeking a beach holiday. You will have everything you need. It can get very touristy. Especially lately there are too mahy russians around. And lets just say thats not the friendliest of situaitons. To see the real side of Phuket, you'd need a trip to Phuket Town. It's much less touristy than the beach resorts but still has much to offer for those seeking a Thai experience. There are many excellent restaurants in and around town (particularly seafood places) which serve up authentic Thai food cooked the way the locals eat it. Far too often in the beach areas, the Thai food will automatically be prepared to cater to western taste buds. There are also a good number of very cheap options for western food, including pasta for around 60 baht (about 1 pound uk sterling) or pizza for 200 baht, which is a fraction of the cost you would pay in the overpriced beach resorts.

If you are travelling on a bit of a tight budget then Town may be the best option for you. The accommodation will be considerably cheaper than the beach areas, which are mostly still accessible by Public buses that stop by 4pm.

Phuket Town has a good number of bars and clubs and while they cater to a predominately Thai crowd, most if not all are foreigner friendly and good for a night out.#thailandtrip #phuket #beach #thaifood
