Airplane Landing with Paradise

To view airplanes landing in Phuket, head to the western end of Phuket International Airport's runway, specifically the southern end of Mai Khao Beach. This location offers a prime spot for plane spotting, with aircraft often landing directly overhead, especially during the high season (December to April) when the wind blows from the northeast.

We took this chance of travel during the month of January just this year, it's quite unusual coz the weather during this time was totally hot but it's worth it actually.

Optimal Viewing:
The turquoise waters and wide beach (up to 50 meters at low tide) create a picturesque setting, particularly between 10 am and 2 pm.

Wind Direction:
Planes land into the wind, so the direction of landings will vary based on the wind. During high season, they'll land from the northeast, over the beach.

Plane Spotting:
This location is popular for plane spotting, with many people gathering to watch and photograph the aircraft.

Safety:
Be aware of the powerful jet engines and potential for strong winds when planes are landing. Also, be mindful of airport authorities who may not favor large gatherings in the area.
