Exploring Phuket Town: A Memorable Stay

Numerous times I intended to roam the streets of Phuket Town, but usually ended up heading straight to the beaches instead. On this occasion, I was traveling with a friend visiting Thailand for the first time; we opted for Novotel Phuket City Phokeethra as a welcome pause from the beach scenes. Upon arrival, I received an email stating our room had been upgraded. I inquired about the bed situation—one bed or two—and the manager, Ms. Saowanee Bobthong (Tar), answered it'd be one, but we required two. The additional bed was swiftly arranged and ready upon arrival, highlighting the rarity of prompt email responses worth mentioning. Observing airline crews staying at the hotel was intriguing; their morning rituals in the lobby imparted a unique rhythm—subtle yet lively. Breakfast met usual Novotel standards, allowing guests to choose their preferences; the green curry was extraordinary, with a tofu alternative for vegans. Before departing, a youthful hotel manager approached, perhaps one of the youngest I've encountered in such a role, displaying genuine enthusiasm. His passion for work was evident as he engaged with guests, gathered feedback, and ensured everything ran smoothly. Though I'd hoped to return following the trip in autumn 2024, plans shifted. I aspire to revisit this place someday.
