A Relaxing Stay with Excellent Service at Avista Hideaway

I recently had a three-night stay at Avista Hideaway from October 17-20. The staff across all areas—check-in, concierge, restaurants, housekeeping, and grounds—were friendly, professional, helpful, and most importantly, proactive. Check-in was slightly chaotic because I didn't receive the quiet Mountain View room I reserved, and I arrived during a planned power outage. Although I was upgraded to a jacuzzi room, I wasn't too enthusiastic as I wanted a balcony to relax on. The staff did an excellent job trying to find an alternative. Things improved when Majda, the Guest Relations Officer, got involved and managed to upgrade me to the Pool Villa, which was greatly appreciated. The villa was enormous (a bit too spacious for one), beautifully designed, and very private and quiet. The hotel is expansive, featuring multiple buildings, pools, and gardens, yet it maintains a sense of serenity without feeling crowded. I spent an afternoon exploring the grounds, discovering a rooftop putt putt with a fantastic view. The breakfast buffet was delicious, offering a wide variety with fresh local fruits and juices. I also had the chance to enjoy the Tasting Menu at the Michelin Guide Tambu, which was a delightful experience that deserves a separate review. I would certainly return to this hotel. I had a lovely time. Thank you again to Majda, Chef Vikrant Subluk, Amin, and all the staff for making this a restful experience for me.
