A Gem in Kata Beach, Phuket, Thailand

Since it's been 3 years since our last visit to Phuket, we stayed at a few different prime locations. For Kata Beach, we chose Novote Kata Avista (heads up for Accor Live Limitless members!).

Situated on a (fairly steep) hill just a stone's throw away from the much cleaner and pristine Kata Beach, Novotel Kata Avista is great for families and friends. Every single staff member was always smiling and enthusiastic to assist!

We got 2 rooms - a Deluxe Pool View (1 King bed), and a Deluxe Seaview Family (1 King and 1 Queen bed). At 47sqm, the rooms were extremely spacious. The family room also came with a small kitchenette (washing sink and microwave). All rooms featured a large tub and separate rainfall shower. The balconies were also huge and spacious, offering great views of the pool and the nearby sea.

While breakfast may not have an extremely wide variety, the food was good. The pool area was gorgeous, with 2 separate pools; the upper pool cascading down upon the lower one.

Highly recommend this hotel for families with young children, especially if you are looking for a 5-star hotel close to a beach, but also away from the hustle and bustle of the main roads. As we travel to Phuket extremely frequently, we also recommend families to stay in the Kata or Karon areas, away from the craziness in Patong. Things are also much cheaper and cleaner around Kata!
