Daqin Mountain, Pinghe County

Daqin Mountain is located in Pinghe County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, with an elevation of 1,544.8 meters, making it the highest peak in Zhangzhou. At the summit, there is a bāyīn stone measuring 2.5 meters long, 2 meters wide, and 0.3-0.5 meters thick, supported by three stone pillars. Striking different sides produces various sounds. Surrounding the peak are 15 mountains over a thousand meters high. In autumn, climbers can enjoy a distant view of the sea area toward Yunxiao. The mountain's vegetation mainly consists of shrubs and alpine grasses, with clouds and mist lingering year-round, creating a unique alpine climate landscape. Along the hiking trail, 10,000 rhododendron seedlings have been planted to create a "Hundred-Mile Rhododendron Corridor." The mountain also hosts Fujian Province's largest organic tea base and has developed the "Dream Building in the Clouds" eco-tourism project. Leveraging the scenic resources of Daqin Mountain, Pinghe County has established a western cultural and ecological tourism corridor that includes attractions such as Gaofeng Valley and Jiufeng Ancient Town.
