Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor
The tomb of the Yellow Emperor, Xuanyuan, the ancestor of the Chinese nation, is located on Qiaoshan Mountain, north of Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. In 1961, the State Council designated it as one of the first batch of key national cultural relics protection sites, designating it "Ancient Tomb No. 1" and known as "The First Mausoleum in the World." The Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor is also one of the first batch of designated 5A-level tourist attractions in China.
Pagoda Hill
Baota Mountain, formerly known as Fenglin Mountain and renamed Jialing Mountain during the Song Dynasty, is also known as Pagoda Mountain. Located southeast of Yan'an City, at an elevation of 1,135.5 meters, it is the symbol of the famous city of Yan'an and a sacred site of the Chinese Revolution. Next to the tower stands an iron bell cast in the Ming Dynasty, which was used by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Yan'an for time and alarms.
