Boating on Shaoxing East Lake

There is such a beautiful and less crowded hidden gem in Shaoxing! 🏞️
Today's visit to the lesser-known secret spot, East Lake Scenic Area, is simply stunning～💖

The beauty of the Jiangnan water town is fully displayed here✨
Right at the entrance, you see picturesque pavilions and towers reflected on the lake surface
Walking deeper, you can see the dock🚤
The black-awning boats, with a maximum of 4 people each, have a great vibe!

I have to say, Zhejiang’s greenery is absolutely amazing
The boatman rows the oar weaving through the strange rocks🌊
The stones are spectacular, and passing through them feels especially poetic
Changing perspective to view the scenery from the water is incredibly healing～

Recommended route✅:
First, take a boat from the dock at the entrance to the innermost part (the scenic area is not large, just follow the river)
Then slowly walk back🔙 (you can cross the bridge to both sides of the river to see different views.)
Along the way, you’ll find many great photo spots📸
Cliffs, small bridges, and flowing water are all very photogenic!

On the way back, I also stumbled upon a charming little tea house🍵
Sitting by the window watching boats come and go
The unique leisure feeling of the Jiangnan water town hits you immediately
It’s really a perfect spot for taking amazing photos in no time!
It’s a tea house, a café, and a bookstore! Taking a short break here is very soothing.
