It takes just over an hour to drive here from Shijiazhuang. It is very convenient. There is a parking lot here and parking is free. Just park your car and walk inside, it's not that far. Don't listen to the sightseeing buses, they are trying to trick you into taking the bus. The whole scenic area is very, very good, particularly meaningful and picturesque. There is also a big lake, looking around, it is very comfortable
