3 Days 2 Nights Vacation in Pingtan, a Seaside Cottage Perfect for Families with Kids

Summer calls for a trip to Pingtan, where windmills and the sea create a magical world. Wait for the orange sunset and chase the dreamy blue tears.
A hidden seaside guesthouse located in the most beautiful central spot of Beilanling Island Road in Pingtan, facing the windmill sea and backed by Junshan Mountain. Breakfast and afternoon tea are included! The cottage features a pool and swings for kids to play freely! It’s also very close to Jingsha and Changjiang’ao beaches!

✅ 3 Days 2 Nights Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Pingtan → Explore the North Route
🔸 We chose Banshan Duohai (Orange Tree Lane) guesthouse. A housekeeper picks you up from the high-speed rail station and takes you directly to the most beautiful island road in Pingtan.
🔸 After resting, we rented a small electric scooter under the church. Within 2 minutes is the boundless sea, 5 minutes to Jingsha, where the black reef rocks make great photo spots, and 10 minutes to Changjiang’ao windmill fields. Be sure to come back at sunset for breathtaking views.
🔸 In the afternoon, we enjoyed afternoon tea, which is free for guests. There are plenty of dining options nearby, including the popular Yuhai Restaurant and convenience stores.

Day 2: Seaside Sunrise → Explore the South Route
🔸 We lay in bed waiting for the sunrise around 5 a.m. 🌅 and then went back to sleep. Breakfast is served around 9 a.m. at Yuhai Restaurant.
🔸 The morning was leisurely. A photographer took some free photos for us 📸. The hot air balloon and helicopter spots are very photogenic. The cottage also has swings, a pool, and a terrace.
🔸 In the afternoon, we visited the South Route, including Houyan Island, the closest place to Taiwan. Tickets cost 35 RMB, half price for students. There’s the 68 Nautical Mile Landmark Lighthouse, and below it is Tannan Bay Beach, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze.

Day 3: Sea Fishing and Beachcombing Experience 🎣
🔸 We took a speedboat to a small island for beachcombing. The kids loved it—it was exciting! If you go to the beach on your own, you can borrow beachcombing tools from the guesthouse.
🔸 The timing for beachcombing and fishing depends on the tide schedule. After low tide, the island is less crowded and has plenty of seafood. We collected many large sea snails and boiled them for a delicious meal.

💙 Quickly bring your kids to Pingtan and feel the freedom of the sea breeze together~
