Overnight Stay at a Cliffside Seaview Guesthouse

Pingtan Island is truly amazing! This time, I stayed at the stunning cliffside guesthouse Ximo Lost Villa. Who understands the feeling of jumping from the terrace into the sea level? 🌊

🏝️ Ximo Yu Xi Cliffside Seaview Guesthouse
📍 No. 64-1, Diankaowei, Diankao, Aoqian Town

🔸 Pure white dreamscape on the cliff edge
The creamy-colored building is directly embedded on the coastline, with a Mediterranean-style archway + natural wood furniture combination that’s so heartwarming! Every room has a 180° sea view; lying in bed, you can watch the sunrise dye the sea orange soda color. At night, the sound of the waves is the perfect natural white noise for sleeping~

🔸 Infinity pool with a 200% photo-worthy rate
Ladies, bring your fairy dresses for photos! The pool edge perfectly blends with the sea level, and on sunny days, the water reflects Klein blue. It’s best to shoot between 4-6 PM; the backlit silhouettes are stunning beyond words. The attentive housekeeper also thoughtfully prepares floating afternoon tea props 🍹

🔸 Private coastline
Just a 3-minute walk from the guesthouse back door is a private beach, so few people and so clean it feels like you’ve booked the entire sea. At low tide, you can find lots of heart-shaped shells. Paired with the guesthouse’s straw hats and woven bags, your seaside photoshoot is perfectly handled!

🚗 Transportation tips
• Self-driving navigation is very accurate, free parking at the door
• Taxi from Pingtan Station takes about 20 minutes and costs around 50 RMB
• Close to attractions like Tannan Bay and Houyan Island

💡 Check-in guide
→ Cliff rooms are popular, book at least 1 month in advance
→ Remember to bring sunscreen! UV rays are very strong by the sea
→ Photography service at the guesthouse requires advance booking (includes 5 retouched photos)
→ It’s windy on the terrace at night, a shawl is a must

This time I found the southern line of Pingtan to be quieter and more upscale than the northern line. The slow life of staring at the waves and sipping milk tea is the true way to enjoy island life✨
