Pingtung Opera Story House is located in Chaozhou Town, Pingtung. The house was built in 1916 and is a century-old building. During the Japanese colonial period, the old Mingzhuang Office was originally the Chunghwa Post Office and was later transformed and renamed the Opera Story House. The building has a Baroque black-tiled and red-brick bungalow exterior. Inside, there is an introduction to the history of the museum, and information and displays related to opera are displayed. The entire museum area is not very large. Chaozhou is also known as the "hometown of opera". The famous Taiwanese opera troupe "Ming Hua Yuan" is a local troupe based in Chaozhou.
