Heart-Pounding Guanyan Mountain (Jan 4, 2025)

Guanyan Mountain Scenic Area is located in Guanyan Village, Pujiang County, Zhejiang Province. If you are driving, you can navigate to Guanyan Temple. Navigating directly to Guanyan Mountain Scenic Area is not accurate, as there is no parking lot or signs to go up the mountain. Guanyan Temple has a parking lot, and there is a small road next to it that leads to the top of Guanyan Mountain.
Since this attraction has not been developed, the path up the mountain is basically a mountain road. Guanyan Mountain is not high, and after walking two or three hundred meters, you will reach the mountainside. Then there is a very difficult section, with no road at all. It is a rock with a slope of about 60 degrees, very steep and with no protective measures. You can only climb up with both hands and feet. If you stop and look down, your legs will go weak and your adrenaline will soar. I met several tourists sitting on the ground, afraid to climb up any further.
After this steep slope, you will soon reach the top of the mountain. The grass on the top of the mountain is very photogenic, with a bit of a Wugong Mountain feel. Guanyan Mountain is a huge long rock, surrounded by cliffs with no guardrails. There is a mountain road in the middle that tourists have walked out. The widest part of the top of the mountain is 20 or 30 meters, and the narrowest part is only two or three meters. Walking along the ridge, you will keep your eyes on your feet and not dare to look to the side. Although Guanyan Mountain is not high, it is surrounded by cliffs, and walking on it will definitely make your heart beat faster. The whole journey up and down the mountain takes about 1.5 hours.
