Exploring the North Island: Blue Spring

I visited Blue Spring during my trip around New Zealand's North Island.

Although it was a bit difficult to access without a car, the spacious parking lot was quite full.

Located near Putāruru in the Waikato region of New Zealand's North Island, the "Blue Spring" is renowned for its crystal-clear blue waters, which are among the purest in the world. This spring supplies approximately 70% of New Zealand's bottled water and captivates many with its beauty and purity.

You can access Blue Spring via the "Te Waihou Walkway." This walking trail can be entered from Leslie Road or Whites Road in Putāruru, with the spring being about 800 meters away. Along the walk, you can fully enjoy the natural beauty, including wetlands, small waterfalls, and lush vegetation.

⚠️ Access Restrictions: Some access routes may be closed, so please check for updates in advance.
