A trip to Meizhou Island is a must!

Visit China's first world-class religious intangible cultural heritage site.

Here, the blue sky, azure sea, sunshine, and sandy beaches create a romantic and enchanting coastal scenery. It also boasts what is considered the world's oldest Mazu temple, hence its veneration as the "ancestral temple." Currently, there are tens of thousands of Mazu temples worldwide that have branched out from the Meizhou Mazu Ancestral Temple. In Taiwan, several large Mazu temples are descended from this temple, and Mazu worship is widespread.

This time, I brought my 70-something mother, who has limited mobility, on this pilgrimage.

mainland Chinese residents pay 125 RMB for a full ticket!

Transportation: We took the Mini-Three Links to Xiamen and then the high-speed rail to Putian.
There's a bus stop next to the Putian high-speed rail station that takes you directly to Xiuyu Port.
After purchasing your ticket at the port, take a 15-minute boat ride to Meizhou Island!

You can then take a shuttle bus directly to the Mazu Ancestral Temple, the world's largest Mazu temple complex, for worship and tour. It attracts countless worshippers every year. The Mazu Temple within the park is majestic and bustling with activity, while the cultural exhibition hall showcases Mazu legends and rich folk culture.
