Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, or the Iron Mosque (Masjid Besi),

This mosque combines Islamic and contemporary architecture, using steel reinforcement for 70% of its structure.

The mosque is designed with natural ventilation through perforated steel grids, and a pond surrounds the main prayer hall to help circulate cool air.

Unlike other mosques, this mosque does not have a minaret. Quranic verses are inscribed on the 13-meter-high glass Qibla wall.
