The Yeji River is a primary tributary on the left bank of the Wu River. It originates in Huawuo Village, Jinpo Township, Baili Dujuan Management Committee, flows through 12 townships (subdistricts) in Qianxi City, and merges into the Wu River at Jingjiangkou, Fangtian Village, Tailai Township. The entire basin area is 2,204 square kilometers, and the main stream is 112 kilometers long. The banks of the Yeji River are covered with verdant hills, and waterfalls can be seen everywhere on the cliffs, such as the "Golden and Silver Waterfalls" in Tailai Township, which are full of momentum. Along the Yeji River, there are unique peaks and rocks such as "Giant Lion Roaring to the Sky," "Elephant Trunk Embracing Water," "Rhinoceros Running to the Pool," and "Sister Peaks," which are lifelike and amazing. The ecological environment of the Yeji River Basin is good, with rich vegetation and shady trees on both sides. Schools of fish and shrimp swim in the river, egrets gather on the river, and wild monkeys roam in the mountains, forming a harmonious ecological picture. The Yeji River Basin has fertile land and convenient irrigation. Relying on the water resources of the Yeji River, Tailai Township has developed a high-quality fruit industry, planting Honey Sugar Plums, Golden Autumn Plums, etc., which has driven the income increase of local farmers. Tailai Township makes use of the natural scenery and ecological resources of the Yeji River to actively create rural tourism projects, such as Fangtian Leisure Tourism Village, to promote the development of rural industries through tourism and the integration of agriculture and tourism. It can be said that the Yeji River is the "Mother River" of the people of Qianxi, nurturing a rich regional culture. Ethnic cultural heritages such as Yangxi Opera in Tailai Township are inherited and developed along the Yeji River, adding a strong cultural heritage to this river.
