24 hours in Qingdao

1. The old consulate area

We spent the morning at The Sablon. Coffee, waffles and some cold beer in the sun. The cafe is inside the former Belgium consulate and very close to the former Norwegian consulate that we came to see and then discovered this wonderful place to sit down and relax.

2. Seafood by the May 4th square

Walking distance from the subway stop. We went to see the monument but then we were also very hungry so we found a seafood restaurant just nearby. At most seafood restaurants you can order set menus with a mix of different things from the sea but also vegetables and some meat dishes. We were 6 people in total and got a good mix of different things.

3. Old German town

There is a Mini beer festival near the St Michaels cathedral. Vendors selling everything from drinks, desserts and souvenirs. Very nice architecture that reminds you of Europe.
