Qingdao Travel Review – A City of Sea and Beer, with Unexpected Charm

#JulyTravelSupport

At first, I thought, "Qingdao? Isn't it just famous for beer?" But after visiting, my thoughts completely changed. This city is truly the perfect blend of healing and entertainment.

On my first day, I took a long walk on the pier, feeling the sea breeze. The crimson sky and calm sea at sunset were truly impressive. The old town next door, with its preserved German colonial buildings, made every cafe alleyway feel like a painting.

On my second day, I experienced what true "beer" is like at the Tsingtao Beer Museum. I never knew beer could be this refreshing. They even offered tastings, so I had a pleasant day with a drink.

Laoshan truly exceeded my expectations. The cable car ride up offers a picturesque view of the endless mountains, the sea, and the Taoist temple perched on a cliff. It was a breathtaking experience, akin to the essence of nature, unlike anything I'd experienced in the city.

And the food is a must. The combination of lamb skewers and steamed clams at the seafood street and Tsingtao draft beer was literally heavenly. Exploring the traditional market was also a lot of fun.

Qingdao was more than just a tourist destination; it was a city that stimulating the senses. The beer, the mountains, the sea, the people, and the food were all impressive, and I want to go back again next summer.
