The PLA Naval Museum in Qingdao is a large military museum that chronicles the full history of the People’s Liberation Army Navy (PLAN). Officially opened on October 1, 1989, and newly renovated in 2021, it features a 7,000 m² indoor exhibition hall with artifacts, photos, naval uniforms and gifts. Outdoors, over 40,000 m² at sea showcase retired warships—destroyers, submarines and frigates—while 13,000 m² on land displays naval aviation and marine corps gear .

Set on Laiyang Road, Jian district, Qingdao, it lies beside Lu Xun Park, Xiaoqingdao Park and faces the Yellow Sea, offering scenic surroundings . Entry is free with online reservation; open 9 am–5 pm (last admission at 4 pm), closed Mondays except public holidays .
