Little Qingdao Park—also known as Xiao Qingdao Isle or “Lyre Islet”—is a tiny scenic island in Qingdao Bay, just 720 m offshore, covering roughly 1.2 ha and connected by a causeway . Its shape resembles an ancient stringed instrument, earning it the nickname “Qindao” . Atop the island stands a white octagonal lighthouse built by the Germans in 1900, still guiding ships entering Jiaozhou Bay .
The small park is lush with pine trees and ornamental plants, includes a sculpture of a girl playing a guqin facing the sea, and offers panoramic views of Zhanqiao Pier, St. Michael’s Cathedral, Signal Hill, and the Naval Museum exhibits . Free to enter with QR‑code reservation, it takes under an hour to walk around—it’s also a superb spot for sunset photos .
