The Princess House in Qingdao is a European-style villa located in the Badaguan Scenic Area. It is known for its distinctive turquoise exterior wall color and Gothic architectural features.
As a treasure among the classic buildings in the Badaguan Scenic Spot of Qingdao, the Princess House is a Nordic rural villa designed and constructed by Russian designer W. G. Yourief. The simple, smooth and exquisite appearance makes it look graceful, elegant and unique against the blue sky and green trees.
According to historical materials, in the early 1930s, Denmark Prince Axel and his wife Princess Margaretha visited Qingdao. There are still a lot of beautiful tales about their visit and the Princess House, which also arouse modern people’s interest in and imagination about that period of history.
**📌 What Visitors Should Know:**
- Ticket price: 20 RMB
- There is no air con inside (at least I don’t feel any…) so may be hot when visiting during summer.
- The inside features restored rooms with traditional fireplaces, wooden floors, and staircases
- The villa has historical background dating back to 1932, when it was built as a summer residence linked to Danish royalty
- From the outside, the building offers a unique architectural photo opportunity with its Tiffany blue color.
