Badaguan is known as “Little Europe by the Sea,” featuring eight avenues named after China’s ancient passes, each lined with different trees and European-style villas. It’s the top spot in Qingdao for wedding photos and leisurely walks.
🗺 Recommended Routes & Duration
🕒Classic 2-Hour Route:
Zhongshan Park Metro Station C Exit → Badaguan Road → Jiaozhou Road → Linhuaiguan Road → Juyongguan Road (Princess House) → Shanhaiguan Road (Butterfly House) → Second Bathing Beach → Huashi House
➡️ Covers most iconic architecture & sea views.
😌 Relaxed Sea View Route (For photo lovers):
Go directly to Huashi House → explore → then walk to Second Bathing Beach
➡️ Time-saving, ideal for those who only want ocean views + vintage architecture photography
⏰ Suggested Time:
3–4 hours – enjoy at a slow, relaxed pace
Important: The broader Badaguan scenic area itself is free to wander (streets, external villa facades, tree-lined avenues) but entry into these special villas like 公主楼、蝴蝶楼or 花石楼 carries a fee.
If you love architecture, nature, and photography, Badaguan is the perfect half-day walking route. You can experience eight countries in one stroll, with the sea breeze, red roofs, and white walls giving it a truly romantic vibe.
