Departing from Chengdu! Tianjin + Qinhuangdao 4 Days 3 Nights Tested Guide: The Haihe River Night View is Amazing, Xianluo Island

Just finished a 4-day mini vacation flying from Chengdu to Tianjin + Qinhuangdao, and I've organized all the pitfalls I encountered and treasures I found! The itinerary is relaxed, with great food and accommodation, perfect for summer cooling and seaside views—guys, just copy this plan~

Day 1 Chengdu → Tianjin: The Haihe River Night View is Legendary!

✈️ Transportation: Landed in Tianjin at 10:10 from Chengdu, taking the subway straight to the city center is super convenient (no need to squeeze into the airport shuttle bus!)
🏨 Accommodation: Highly recommend "Hanting Haiguangsi Subway Station Branch"! The subway entrance is right outside, tons of food options nearby, rooms are clean and comfortable, great value for money.
🍜 Food Highlights:

- Lunch right at the hotel entrance at "Guanghongxiang Seafood Food Stall," the grilled eel is a must-order! Crispy outside, tender inside, not greasy, incredibly fresh~
- Dinner waited half an hour at "Dajili Chaoshan Hotpot," the freshly sliced beef dipped in clear broth is amazing! Reminder: go early during meal times, or the line will make you question life!
🌃 Must-Do: Haihe River Night Cruise (Jinwan Wharf)! The boat departs at 8:30 PM, enjoy the evening breeze while watching the lights on both banks come alive. The Tianjin Eye and Jiefang Bridge look breathtaking at night—this trip is totally worth the ticket price!

Day 2 Tianjin → Qinhuangdao: 1.5-hour High-Speed Train to See the Sea!

🚄 Transportation: Take the high-speed train from Tianjin Station to Qinhuangdao, just 1.5 hours, with many departures so no need to rush early.
🏨 Accommodation: Chose "Duoxi Seaview Hotel Apartment" (Xiangti Lanting Branch), the room window opens directly to the Bohai Sea! Affordable price, convenience store downstairs, excellent value.
🍤 Seafood Freedom:

- Lunch at "Zhenwei Seafood House," the double set meal for two is so big we couldn’t finish it, seafood is fresh and reliable.
- Dinner rushed to "Qinhuang Alley"! It’s really crowded, but the food is irresistible—Jun Ge’s spicy mix, cold chicken rack, Guizhou sticky rice, all local flavors in every bite!

Day 3 Coastal Walking Day: Xianluo Island Pitfall Guide!

⚠️ Key Pitfall: Be cautious about Xianluo Island! Waiting in line for 2.5 hours round trip just to ride the cross-sea cable car… unless you’re a cable car fanatic, I sincerely suggest skipping it!
🛵 Coastal Joy: Rented an electric scooter to circle the coast, the 24-degree sea breeze was so comfortable~
🍲 Lunch Surprise: Stumbled upon "Xinxihai Seafood Large Dumplings," seafood set meal + seafood porridge so fresh to the core, about 50 RMB per person to eat until full!
🌌 Night Fun at Biluota: Buy tickets before 4 PM! Daytime sea views are perfect for photos, and the nighttime dance party is super lively—young people don’t miss it~

Day 4 Shanhaiguan Finale: The Full Historical Vibe of Laolongtou

🏯 Attraction: Took luggage to Shanhaiguan, stored it for free at the "Shanhaiguan Tourist Center Ticket Office," then lightened up to visit "Laolongtou"—the Great Wall entering the sea is stunning, great for photos.
✈️ Return: After touring, take a taxi straight to the airport, perfect ending!

Blogger’s Tips

1. Qinhuangdao’s weather is amazing! Around 24 degrees, sunny but not hot during the day, the top choice for summer cooling!
2. Tianjin subway and Qinhuangdao electric scooters are the best transport options, more convenient and cheaper than taxis.
3. Avoid weekends/morning peak times at Xianluo Island, or the lines will be maddening; for Dajili Hotpot, try to arrive before 5 PM to avoid the rush.

If you want to see the sea, eat seafood, and escape the summer heat, just go for this route with your eyes closed! Remember to save it so you won’t get lost when you go~
