Last week, my family and I took a road trip to Jiaguan Town and stayed at Tongqu Jiaguanli Hot Spring Resort. It was pure bliss—I almost wanted to retire and settle down there right away!
The resort is nestled among tea fields, with photogenic tiled rooftops and an open-air hot spring that’s perfect for snapping pics. Sipping afternoon tea in the lobby, sunlight filtering through bamboo curtains onto my face, I felt completely relaxed ☕
The private hot spring rooms are a must-try! Each room has its own pool with views of tea mountains and sea of clouds. The mattresses and bedding meet five-star standards, and even the slippers are luxuriously soft. The gym and mahjong room are thoughtful additions, ensuring fun for the whole family 🎲
During the day, we picked tea leaves at Tianfu Black Tea Park—hand-roasting them was a blast, and we even got to take some home. In the evening, we strolled along the Baimo River and caught a mesmerizing intangible cultural heritage iron-flower performance, with sparks flying like magic ✨
And let’s not forget Jiaguan’s amazing food! Zheng’s Steamed Buns are thin-skinned and generously stuffed, while Li’s Spicy Minced Beef packs a fiery punch. The resort’s breakfast even served freshly steamed Zheng’s buns from the ancient town—absolutely delicious 🥢
At night, we went to Tiantai Mountain to see fireflies, their tiny lights dancing in the hills. Back at the resort, soaking in the hot spring and reminiscing about the day, I was overwhelmed with happiness!
