The local Miao legend gives this landscape spirituality: in ancient times, the gods split the mountains to quell the war on earth, allowing light and peace to pour out from the door. Looking east from the gate of heaven, two round and symmetrical green hills, Shuangru Peak (Fairy Bosom Hills), stand quietly between the countryside.
